Hail to the Redskins

HogetesHail to the Redskins is the fight song for the Washington Redskins. It is the second oldest fight song for a professional American football team (after Go! You Packers! Go!, which was composed in 1931).

While attending a “skins” game be sure to be on the look-out for the Hogettes (pictured). The Hogettes are a group of 12 male Redskins fans who wear women’s attire and pig snouts to cheer on their favorite NFL team and to raise money for charity.

My guide to watching the Redskins at FedEx Field:

1) Have a friend with season tickets in the club seats!!!

2) Have a friend with a sweet parking pass b/c Section Green is where its at

3) Have someone whose ex-girlfriend is a Redskins Cheerleader… entertains you while the game is stopped.

4) Have the beer on the 2nd level, b/c its bottled AND on chilly days the beer gets slushy. I will confess, I waited for Amanda to take the first sip b/c I wondered if her lips would stick to the frosty bottle.

5) Have time to enjoy the swag, I got a redskins towel, which doubled as a beer bottle cozy.

6) Most importantly… PEE before you leave the stadium b/c after an afternoon of drinking, it is a loooong wait to drive outta that place.
